How To Divide A Circle Into Equal Parts

1. Here is how you can divide your circle to get equally for each parts. Firstly draw a polygon for example with 12 corners (Figure 1).

2. Then draw a circle corresponded to the center of polygon (Figure 2)

3. Draw line from polygon edge to divide the circle equally (Figure 3).

4. Lastly, delete the polygon object and now you have your circle that equally divided into 12 parts (Figure 4).

  1. Most of the polygons corners aren't aligned with the circle when you close up on it. Why is that?

  2. 1. You can use REGEN (RE)to regenerates the entire drawing and recomputes the screen coordinates for all objects in the current viewport. It also reindexes the drawing database for optimum display and object selection performance.
    2. Select Tools (from drop down menu, and select options. Go to display resolution and enter maximum limit for Arc and Circle Smoothness which is 20,000.
